A Black Friday Ramble

Black Friday is this week. If you want to see consumer mindset in action, go shopping this weekend. Don't get me wrong, I love a good Black Friday sale and I have a whole list of things I'm hoping to get a deal on. But maybe I should get someone who has an income below the poverty line to go over my list and tell me how much of it I actually need?

If fabric is on your list, WildRose does have a small Black Friday deal. If you place an order of $95 or more, November 22-26, you'll get free shipping. Also, 10% off is automatically applied to any orders placed  those days. There will be some new pieces showing up on the 25th, so keep that in mind!

Back to the point of this post... most of us have more stuff than we need. We can go shopping for necessities and many other things that we believe we can't live without, but often fail to recognize emotional, spiritual or physical needs in the people we rub shoulders with. Maybe that scowling lady in the store that talked to my babies for 5 minutes, while I was itching to keep shopping before said babies get grumpy, needed to see smiling little faces to get her through her day.

It's disturbing to me how much comparing amongst ourselves we tend to do, and usually it's all about THINGS and IMAGE. The size of my house and how well it is decorated means little if it's doors are never open to others. How many name brand clothes my babies have doesn't do much for them if I never lay aside my phone and actually spend time with them. Speaking of which....
