I am not a blogger. Some weeks it feels like I wear many different hats; wife, mama, chorus director, website designer, chicken farmer, calf handler; but "blogger" has never been one of them. Shopify keeps telling me that a blog along with a website is "good marketing" and "brilliant strategy". That may be so, but what is there to write about fabric? I'd exhaust my knowledge of the subject in a handful of posts. Sewing, then? No, I don't actually like it all that much. Which is odd, considering I sell fabric.
I do, however, love to write. About very random things. Like my chickens, or the days I spend as a substitute teacher. My darling children provide endless inspiration, as do politics, the latest books I've read, my garden, a random post I saw on Instagram that sparked my brain cells. I'm also interested in food. Seeing as I have to cook a minimum of 2 meals a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks per year, it occupies a good portion of my life. Perhaps occasionally you will find a post fabric/sewing related, but that is not my goal. I concluded that since I have all these random things I write about for my own enjoyment, why not simply add them to my website? I doubt it fits what Shopify was trying to sell me on, but maybe it will provide some entertainment for you as you shop. 😉 So, enjoy!
*You may have noticed that there is a page about Dōterra on the website. Please keep the family who has that page in your prayers! Haiti's capital city has much unrest, and this has potential to complicate their plans for arrival to the country. Where they are going has remained peaceful, but if flights to Port-au-Prince are grounded, they cannot enter the country. *
